Odds refresh rates

Odds are polled, not streamed. There's a short lag between a line moving at the book and it appearing here — always confirm the current price before placing.

Data source

Odds are sourced via The Odds API, one of the most widely used aggregators in the industry. We cover US-licensed books (DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, and more) plus European books including Pinnacle.

Sports covered: NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAAF, NCAAB. Only sports with active games are polled — off-season sports are automatically excluded.

EV model

We use the Pinnacle no-vig model — the industry standard for sharp EV calculation.

  1. Take Pinnacle's two-sided line for each market
  2. Remove the vig using the multiplicative method to get the true implied probability
  3. Compare every book's price against that true probability
  4. EV% = (true probability × your decimal odds) − 1

Positive EV% means the book is offering more than the true odds. It doesn't guarantee a win — it means you have a mathematical edge over thousands of bets.

Arb & CLV

Arbitrage is detected by summing the implied probabilities of the best available price on each outcome across all books. When the sum is below 100%, a risk-free profit exists.

Closing Line Value (CLV) is measured at game start against Pinnacle's closing line — the sharpest available signal of true market price. Consistently beating the closing line is the strongest indicator of a long-term edge.
